I have been many places in the world so far, but have not seen such busy yet crowded capital. Today’s blog is about the citizen’s small recreation spots existing in such huge capital.
 
Tokyo has various of “alleys” in the narrow streets lined with small unique shops. They offer the place as an oasis for guests and gets rid of their stress. Friendly shop owners, cold beer and reasonable foods make everybody forget everything bad happened on that day in a while. Mostly the shops have been working for many years. So it is suitable place for foreign people to enjoy and feel Japanese old culture, that’s why the alleys are becoming more and more popular with travellers as well lately. Various menu consists of not only regular dishes but also Japanese regional foods.

Shrimp, shiitake mushroom, squid, fish and many kinds of vegetable are fried by pure sesami oil and match with sweet tentsuyu soup. Monja-yaki is good one if you have friends together with you. Normally customer cook it by themselves on the plate at table so you can enjoy the process of cooking too.
